The Penang Week That Was

so we are finally home from penang! no, actually, from taman mega where we just had our dinner which was entirely on my brother as he had insisted after winning some $$ yesterday. anyway i've just finished unpacking my stuff and i'm all set for bed. i'm just waiting for my hair to dry a little more so i can finally tuck in.

meanwhile, i guess i'll just share the good news which is.. my brother got 3rd in the WYSC! and my cousin got 2nd! it was double celebration for the family. i was at the city bayview hotel yesterday to watch the finals and man i found it fun and nerve wracking all at the same time! i really ought to start picking it up again.

this time we stayed in major cheah's apartment. marina bay turned out to be the perfect place to put in as its only 7 minutes away from the competition place. we were really lucky to have major cheah as our host... he's such a hospitable and interesting man/major. although we didn't exactly have much time, uncle cheah had managed to bring us to a few best eating places in penang which we never knew existed. but seriously, the food was amazing. i know i've said this before but yeah... penangites are so blessed with good food! and thank you uncle cheah for taking us around town!

then on wedenesday i met up with my mpyo friends adelyn and kit leong. kit leong's dad drove us to batu ferringhi where we went shopping. i bought quite a lot of stuff at low prices there. i even managed to bargain a few! :) at some point as we were walking along the streets one indian dude came up to us and shouted to kit leong "hey i'm gay too!". omg..but we weren't shocked bout it because earlier on adelyn had written on kit's left arm 'hi im gay!' with her eyeliner. and guess what? kit leong eventually became the gay magnet that entire night. lol it was hilarious. thanks for taking me out guys!

i had quite a lot of fun in penang this time. and im sure everyone else did too. the only worry i have right now is that i havent touched any of my homework and college reopens in 3 weeks!
